Sweet Vansations just happened to begin with a single question:
What if there were a place where everyone felt like they belonged?
When I first imagined Sweet Vansations, I wasn’t simply creating a setting for a novel—I was building a place I’d want to visit myself.
I envisioned quiet streets lined with welcoming storefronts, neighbors who knew one another by name, and the comforting aroma of fresh bread drifting from a local bakery each morning. I wanted a town where life’s biggest moments and simplest joys could exist side by side.
That dream became this bakery.
At the heart Pepperidge is Sweet Vansations, where recipes are passed down through generations and every customer is greeted like family. But Pepperidge is more than the bakery. It’s a place where friendships are built over coffee, celebrations are shared around homemade desserts, and ordinary days become treasured memories.
The people who live in Pepperidge aren’t perfect. They face heartbreak, difficult decisions, unexpected changes, and new beginnings—just like we all do. Yet through every season, they discover the strength of community, hope, and love.
As the Sweet Vansations series continues to grow, you’ll meet new families, discover new traditions, and watch the town change while holding onto the values that make it feel like home.
My greatest hope is that when you finish one of my books, you’ll close the final page feeling as though you’ve just spent time with old friends.
Because that’s what this has always been to me.
